1. The Inn On Mt. Ada

For a picturesque dining experience, head to the Inn on top of Mt. Ada. Enjoy delicious breakfast or lunch in this beautiful mansion.

2. Maggie’s Blue Rose

Maggie’s Blue Rose is a favorite of both locals and visitors. This Mexican restaurant has breakfast burritos stuffed with chorizo, enchiladas bursting with lobster, and fantastic chips and dip. We also hear the daily happy hour is not to be missed.

3. Steve’s Steakhouse

Just as its name suggests, Steak’s Steakhouse serves up a fantastic cut of meat. This is a must-try place for any carnivore staying on Catalina, or really for anyone who loves good food. If steak isn’t your thing, order some Avalon style shrimp.

4. The Sandtrap

Amazing things await you at the Sandtrap. Every day from 2 pm to 7 pm, there are delicious tacos available for only a dollar each. Pair some of those with a margarita pitcher, and we promise you’ll be satisfied.

5. Descanso Beach Club

Head to the Descanso Beach Club for a beautiful beachside meal. Sip on something sweet and boozy like a Descanso Destroyer, a Descanso Lemonade, or a Buffalo Milk while you snack burgers, wraps, and fresh seafood.

6. Pete’s Plaza Cafe

For great food that’s very reasonably priced, go to Pete’s Cafe. Three dollar margaritas and one dollar tacos await you at happy hour. There are also some amazing omelettes, burgers, burritos, fries, and milkshakes.

Summer is nothing without ice cream, which is why you should make sure to stop at Descanso Fresh. This ice cream parlor serves up some deliciously creative flavors, including ones with vodka, Kahlua, and Bailey’s Irish Cream.

8. The Lobster Trap

As you can probably guess, the Lobster Trap is a great place to go when your seafood cravings hit. There are giant lobster rolls, oysters Rockefeller, seafood pastas, and bowls of authentic New England clam chowder.

Bluewater Grill is another important stop for any seafood lover, and there are some seriously amazing views of the harbor from the patio. We recommend the crab cakes, the oysters, and the cioppino.

This deli has it all. CC Gallagher offers coffee, ice cream, pastries, sushi, salads, sake, beer, and an extensive list of wines. When you aren’t sure what you want, but you know that you want something good, head here.

You can’t go to Catalina without stopped at Luau Larry’s for one of their famous Wiki Wackers. It’s a delicious tropical drink made with light rum, brandy, pineapple juice, orange juice and grenadine. And don’t forget to order a burger.

Although it’s not technically a restaurant, the Marlin Club is a great place to go if you prefer to drink your calories instead of eat them. After all, a Bloody Mary is basically a salad, right?

Head to Lloyd’s Confectionary to satisfy pretty much any sugary craving. You can choose from a huge assortment of candies, chocolates , and ice creams. And make sure to sample the salt water taffy.

If you’re looking for awesome Italian food and fantastic vibes, head to Antonio’s Pizzeria & Cabaret. We recommend ordering the day-old spaghetti. Trust us, it’s a lot better than it sounds.
